Does it cost anything to list an item?
You can get a standard membership, which is free to list an item. With this membership however you will only be able to list 10 free items but with no pictures of the items. With the gold membership you will get unlimited listings, and up to 3 pictures per item listed.
How do I sell an item?
1) Create an account, and choose a standard or gold membership. Using the gold account you will be able to list more items and use pictures, which will allow your items to get more attention and sell more quickly. No pictures are allowed with the standard package, and you will only be able to list 10 items.
2) Confirm your email address by clicking on the link we send to your email address.
3) Then go into your account and hit the sell button. You then put in the information about your item. If you have a gold membership this is where you would also load up your photos.
4) Then check your email. Potential buyers will contact you by your user ID, which will go to your email. Buyers will not be able to see your email through Port City Garage Sales website only the user ID.
5) When you have obtained a buyer you and the buyer agree on a place to meet to exchange items for money. Be sure and check the meetings section on the website. There, some sellers will choose to post where they are meeting that week. This helps if you are selling to more than one buyer, or if you are buying yourself. However, it is totally up to you and the buyer where you meet. The meeting section is just a helpful tool
How do I Buy an item?
1) Create an account, and choose either the standard or gold membership. If you have an account go ahead and login.
2) Confirm your email address by clicking on the link we send to your email address. (Skip this step if you are already a member)
3) You are now ready to browse at what has been listed. You can look through the categories, make a search, and look at the list of most recent listings. You will be able to view the new items as they are listed in order right from the home page or click the button most recent items for a larger viewing.
4) When you find an item you are interested in all you will need to due is to click on the item’s information. Then you will click on the contact seller button. This will bring you to a form where you can email the seller by their user id. You can ask the seller on the form any information you want about the item. If by the picture you know you want the item, then simply write on the form I’ll take the item if it is still available.

Can I buy/sell something if I do not live in the Wilmington area?
Yes. However, you will have to be willing to drive into Wilmington or the surrounding area in order to meet the seller/buyer. If you live outside the Wilmington area you can contact us to see if there is a site going up near you.
Can I Advertise on your site?
Yes. Go to advertise with us You can then get more information on the type of advertising we offer. We have a large marketing campaign going on now ourselves, so remember every time someone visits our site they will be seeing your ad as well.
